Preperation
Like any venture it is always important to start with the right preparation. There are things to consider besides how many deer to start with.

Rules and Regulations:
Regulatory bodies in your area: Like BOAH (the Board of Animal Health.)
This is a good place to start and we found the people at BOHA easy to work with and they helped us comply with all regulations.
Health, vitamins and vaccinations:
A Veterinarian will be required and it is not always easy to find a veterinarian that is willing to work with CERVIDS (antlered animals).
Antlered animals are not easily managed and sometime require tranquilizing in order to administer immunizations and other drugs that may be needed for their care.
